Semi-Lucid Dream – Smashing the Awning

April 24th, 2009

Last night was the first night in a while that I was able to sleep unobstructed for the entire night. My Wife and my Daughter are currently out of town for the next 5 days so I am hoping to have several lucid dreams and out of body experiences to write about in the days to come. I actually had a semi-lucid dream last night and would like to write about it simply because I have been in this dream locale before. I am going to start writing about any dream locales that I seem to have a memory of in the past.

It was lights out at 11:30 PM last night and I had the entire king size bed to myself. I put on the “Hemi-Sync – Intro to Focus 10″ and kept my eyes still and was asleep in less than 5 minutes. I slept very sound and woke up at 7:30 AM and my headphones were laying next to me. I had recall of my dreams at this point but lost that recall after I fell asleep again.

I got up to use the restroom and came back to bed quite alert and decided to use the eye trick again to see if I could slip back off into dream. Within 5 minutes I was asleep and I found myself in a familiar dream environment that I know I have been in before. I was in a long bathroom standing at a urinal doing my business and out of the corner of my right eye behind me I noticed that the toilet was actually under the divider wall and not actually “in” the stall as it should have been. The memory of being in this location before triggered my lucidity.

I notice that there was this dark red liquid in all of the urinals around me and there was body parts such as severed legs and arms laying all over the floor. I notice that these body parts were animated and flopping around and before I could move away from the urinal some of the red liquid splashed out of the toilet next to me and hit my leg. I backed away and at the same time some human shaped form emerged from the stall. I got the feeling that this “thing” didn’t realize that I was lucid and it started walking towards me and I immediately headed for the door. As I was walking out the door it smeared some of the red liquid across the side of my face and then followed me outside.

I was thinking to myself that this liquid was some type of poison or possibly worse but at the same time I felt something surge through me and I lost all fear. I was losing my lucidity at this point and I was feeling like I was being more reactive than objective. My next reaction was to fly away from this thing and off into the sky I went. Almost instantly my awareness of this thing disappeared.

I would like to briefly describe the method by which I fly in non lucid dreams because it’s the same every time. I will jump up off the ground and then while in the air I have to focus on wanting to fly and then I will either fly or I will have to try again. When it works I feel some magnetic force take hold of me and it’s like I am on an invisible elevator. The movement upwards starts off slow and the increases in speed and I can literally feel the g-forces on my body as I accelerate upwards. While moving upwards I always keep my eyes looking down watching the objects on the ground getting smaller so I can gauge when to stop. When I reach the desired elevation I almost always have the emotion that a person would have when they learn something new (like riding a bicycle) and I want to tell family and friends about it.

I continued flying and I passed through an arched bridge and found myself approaching an unfamiliar cabin with an aluminum awning and I “just knew” one of my friends was inside. I will not disclose who it was but as I mentioned above I wanted to show them my new skill. I went inside and dragged them outside and then used the method above and flew up 1000 feet and then floated back down and landed in front of them. They seemed to be shocked, amazed and confused all at the same time. I have no idea why I thought they weren’t interested because I was not lucid, but their reaction didn’t meet my expectations so I did the same thing again but this time instead of floating down I just let myself fall down towards the metal awning and then landed on it hard making my leg pierce the awning putting a 2 foot hole in it.

I took off into the sky again and landed in a tree beside the cabin and I noticed someone else was with my friend. I heard them tell my friend that they would take care of me and I noticed that this person was growing stronger and bigger muscularly kind of like the hulk.

He started walking toward the tree I was in and I remember laughing out load and telling the guy that his magic tricks didn’t scare me and I simply though about becoming bigger and stronger and morphed into a similar form and dropped out of the tree in front of him.

I remember the guy trying to stab me, but I blocked the attempt with some of the moves I learned in Krav Maga and then stripped the knife out of the guys hand and stabbed him several times with it.

The dream ended after this. I think this clearly demonstrates the drastic difference between one of my normal dreams and the out of body descriptions I have posted on here before. I have no idea what this dream was about, only that I have been in that bathroom before in previous dreams.

Lucid Dreaming – Is it possible to Astral Project through computers?

April 23rd, 2009

I’m pretty sure within this experience last night, I was lucid dreaming, which then switched to astral projection. I’m planning to get new ear buds for my mp3 player today, so that I can use the timer starting tonight and hopefully have more progress with lucid dreaming, so I haven’t been trying much really. Last night I sort of half-focused on the mantra in the first technique shown in the post below this one. Basically, on exhale thinking “girrr”, next exhale thinking “tiiii”, and then “taakkk” until sleeping.

I didn’t actually think it would help with lucid dreaming, since I’ve had no luck at all with anything lately. I did end up with a lucid dream though so maybe there’s something to it, afterall.

When I realized I was lucid dreaming, I immediately decided to project. I wanted to go to my old hometown, so I thought about it and felt like I was moving somewhere, but somehow ended up in a room with computer screens. There were monitors on the wall with various websites I’ve visited. I lost control at that point because our 21 month old kicked me in the side and I woke up.

I’m wondering though, if I could have astral projected through those computer monitors. I’d like to go back and check into that. Lucid dreaming is a lot of fun. I’m hoping to have more to blog about once my mp3 player is functional again.

Staring at Myself

April 15th, 2009

My goal last night was simple. I was to go to bed at 9 PM and then wake up around 2 – 5 AM and begin listening to the saltcube rhythm napping timer ramp with a 4 minute base. The track is 2 hours and 12 minutes and can be found in the new Vol. 2 saltcude series at lucidology.com. My plan was to use these timers to have a series of OBEs so that I can get used to astral projection and how it feels. The new series builds on the previous series and is very complex and advanced for my level. Having a series of short OBEs might not be profound but I have plently of time for that and I think I should be taking baby steps at this point.

I actually got in bed around 9:30 PM and then automatically woke up at 2 AM after setting the intent. I started the timer and then struggled for what seemed like an hour trying to block out distractions. I then decided to use some of the advanced visualization techniques that I watched in the new series last night and within minutes I felt a wave of energy surge through me really quickly. This energy didn’t feel like vibrations at all, it was similar to goose bumps.

I wasn’t sure if I was free from the physical so I sat up in bed and looked down at the pillow to see if I was still laying on it and to my delight I was! It was the classic OBE, I was sitting up in bed looking at my sleeping body with my physical body and astral body overlapping at the hip. The most incredible part of this was the fact that I could hear my physical body breathing and I was not controlling it at all. It was the most amazing thing ever. I literally sat and stared at my body sleeping for at least 5 minutes. This kind of goes against the “don’t think about your body” scenario that pulls you back in.

I finally decided to move away from the bed and by simply thinking about it I was instantly standing by the door leading out of the room. I started walking down the hall and for the first time I had the urge to look down at my astral arm. It was solid black, like looking off into space. I then reached out and touched the wall and expected my arm to pass through it but it didn’t, instead I felt the texture of the wall moving across my hand as I moved.

I continued downstairs and when I got there it was not my current living room, it was the living room of my ex-girlfriend’s old rental house from 2001. I got kinda pissed at that point because she was a total bitch that hung me out to dry in 2003 when I went into the hospital. I decided that I needed to leave.

I remembered that there are people in waking life who want validations so I tried to focus on their faces one at a time but I was not able to go anywhere. I gave up and started looking for a door out of there and sure enough, the same door that was there in 2001 was right there waiting on me. I could see very bright light bursting through the cracks around the door and I knew that if I opened it, I would be blinded. I started walking towards the door and the room started getting darker. I commanded clarity and awareness but the experience faded out and I woke up.

I think this is very good progress and I look forward to hearing feedback
