A Series of Events

Last night I read some more of Astral Dynamics and then it was lights out at 12:30 AM. I focused on breath while falling asleep and repeated the mantra “I am now out of body now” for several minutes and then fell asleep quick.

I slept sound through the night and woke up at 4:30 AM ready to try a meditation / mantra mix technique. I went and used the restroom in preparation and then came back to bed and became very still and turned my focus to breath. When I would breathe in I would think “I am out of body” and as I exhaled I would think “Now..”. Any time that my thought would wonder away from the breath or mantra I would pull my awareness back to it. I continued with this process until I fell back to sleep, which was about 10 minutes later.

I woke up at 7:00 AM and repeated the same steps as above. This time I recall my awareness slipping away for a moment and I was over a sink washing my hands and then suddenly I was yanked back out of this awareness and into my physical body and the vibrations were present and fading. They quickly disappeared and I started the process over at about 7:30 AM.

I stayed focused for another 5 – 10 minutes and all of the sudden I found myself in the elevator leading up to my office at work. I was floating in the top back right hand corner of the elevator looking down at 3 women who were going up. I heard a snap and I released from the corner and floated out though the elevator doors and down into the lobby on the first floor. I lost awareness at this point and found myself back in bed with the vibratiosn fading. They completely faded away and I once again started the process over again at about 8:00 AM.

I focused on breath and the same mantra again for about an hour solid and finially a surge of energy entered my head and the vibrations spread into my body. I felt as though I was expanding this time and that my body was getting bigger. I tried to deepen the trance but I ended up waking up. It was a few minutes after 9 at this point and I was too wide awake to try again.

It seems that I may have had several out of body experiences this morning but it’s difficult to really tell. Again, I feel like there are some gaps in my memory and that any success that I may have had I was not able to retain the memory of it. For example, what else happened between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM and between 7:30 Am and 8:00 AM? I can only account for a few minutes.

I have had some great success with the meditation / mantra mix in the past. I will continue to use this technique and read Astral Dynamics and I’ll see where it leads me to next. Hopefully there are some pointers regarding memory retention in the chapters to come.

Mantras are very effective techniques to focus and discipline the mind. Thanks for sharing these
meaningful reflections. The music is also peaceful.
