Lucid Dream – Better Flight Control
While getting back into lucid dream and astral projection attempts I fell asleep last night listening to the Tibetan Chakra Meditations [LIVE] cd while repeating the mantra “I am out of body now” in my head. Within a few minutes I fell asleep.
The dream was very foggy and I don’t remember anything before or after the lucid part of the dream. I know that at some point during normal dreaming I spoke out loud and heard my voice say “I am now lucid!”.
The pattern has always been that most of the time when I become lucid or out of body there is almost always an instinctive reflex to fly. Doing so feels very natural and yet it seems almost like getting back onto a bicycle after 15 years. I know how to ride it but at the same time it feels new and I feel slightly out of touch.
I have noticed that with every new lucid dream or out of body experience that I have, my flying abilities become better and better. Last night When I became lucid I immediately took off flying. I was in the backyard of my childhood home and I remember flying up and over the top of the old pecan tree that stands over 100 ft high. I had precision control of my movement in the air and the detail of my vision in this dream state was superb. I remember hearing the word “eagle” while in flight. I soared up and over the top of the tree thousands of feet into the air and then back down and landed in the backyard. Everything became foggy again at this point and my subconscious came rushing back in. I think the entire lucid state lasted about a minute at most.
Even though the lucidity was short lived I am happy to know that my efforts to get back on track are producing results! I would love to hear from others about flying in lucid dreams. Does anyone else notice that flying seems to be an automatic and primary method of transit while out of body or lucid dreaming?

Yep… often find myself flying when lucid. though not sure as realizing i’m flying in a dream is a bit of a cue for me in becoming lucid so it works a bit both ways. when already flying why stop?
Your site looks good and i like the new font better than the old type.. or maybe that’s cause i’m using chrome now after firefox 3.5 has so many probs on my computer?
One thing i did a few months back while lucid and flying was realize that the speed that i travel at is relative to how fast i think i can travel. OK.. was already flying fast, like superman flies with one arm in front.. i then wondered if i could fly faster… I could.. and it was extremely fast.. but only after i let go of something (only experienced as energy) in my mind (3rd/5th eye area) that was holding me back, Peace Dean
Hi Dean,
Thanks for dropping in and checking out the new site, it’s always nice to get feedback from you.
I will need to think about that “energy” that was holding you back. That’s interesting.
BTW… My offer is still good
Flying is automatic only at a certain stages and during certain phases of practice. If you continue and this develops, you will find that there are phases where there is hardly any flying and instead you are meeting others in other dimensions by instant transfer without any feeling of going there. Like you are here and then there and then here again without any sense of movement.
Sometimes you might enter dimensions which are right where you are such that such places seemed to be interspaced on this space.
The main thing is to keep practicing and to keep a record of the experiences.
